This was such a fun experience. From the time we arrived at the studio, we were made to feel comfortable and a part of the 3-D photo experience for our daughter’s 14 yr. old deaf & blind molten Dachshund, Socket. Lili was so patient, taking her time in getting to know Socket before beginning the shoot. And the final result? We’re still speechless! The sculpture, coloring, expression, pose, EVERYTHING, is perfect! Thank you!
My sixth grade son was in the first 3D Academy workshop. He loves programming and loved the Academy. He learned basic 3D graphics - how to build and modify his own images, then create whatever he wanted in the free period. The Academy made learning fun for him!
Noah and Ezra recently participated in a 3D Modeling and 3D Printing class for 3 hours. They both had so much fun sketching out ideas, and then designing and printing their own 3D Models! This is a hands-on, high-tech camp for kids interested in science and technology, or for the next generation of developers, animators, and engineers. 3D Academy in Chapel Hill might just be changing these kids’ futures. This is from Noah:In this 3D Class, you can learn the basic parts of 3D modeling and printing. You can import objects, and create your own. I liked this class a lot because you get to play around with the app, Meshmixer, and do a lot of fun things with old and new friends. You can make whatever you would want. The class teaches you how to use tools, so you can cut, stretch, bend, or squish however you would like to do it. Overall, it is fun and interesting. You should try it!
Cady took the first 3D workshop and loved it! Designing the models on a computer program was her favorite part. She is looking forward to the next workshop to design more figures and print them.
